Shield & Canvas: Tools to face bullying – inside and out
Led by Darlene Mase Wurster (Serenity Mountain Expressive Arts Therapy) and Sarah Williams (Empowered Defence Centre).
This objective of this workshop for pre-teens is to provide participants a safe and creative environment where they can process the impact of bullying. Through emotional expression using visual art, movement, and sound, in combination with teaching body language, posture, presence, assertive stances and more, the participants will be assisted in processing the impact of bullying to the degree they are able and build resilience.
This course is for ages 9-12, but if your child is outside this range and you are interested in future events, please let us know.

A dynamic, trauma-informed workshop that blends self-defense, emotional resilience, and nervous system regulation. Through hands-on techniques, mindset tools, and guided scenario practice, you’ll learn how to stay calm, grounded, and powerful—before, during, and after high-stress moments. Co-led by passionate facilitators, this experience is designed to help you reclaim your story, regulate your response, and build habits that empower your everyday life.
